Explorations Class #12
Witnessing, Part 1
As we complete the study of the Roman Catholic
Church, it is time to consider the importance of the material we
have studied for our task as witnesses. We have seen a number of
RCC dogmas which have been shown to be in error. Let us begin by
examining one of Paul's attempts to correct error.
1. What error was Paul attempting to correct? (Acts
17:16)
2. Who met with Paul at the Areopagus, and what
was their intention in talking with him? (Acts 17:18-21)
3. What was their response to Paul's declaration
of the true God? (Acts 17:32) What was Paul's response?
4. Was there any benefit to the exercise? (Acts
17:34)
5. Later, Paul refocused his approach. What was
his resolve? (1 Cor 2:1-2)
6. What is the objective of all Christians? (Matt
21:31; 13:43)
7. Is there an essential step in achieving this
objective? (John 14:6)
***** This is the key question in all witnessing
to those who believe in doctrines contrary to the Bible.*****
8. Will a false Jesus reveal the true Father?
9. What are the consequences of belief in a false
Jesus? (Matt 10:32-33)
At this point we must consider the what the Bible
tells us about Jesus. If we know the truth about Jesus, then we will
be able to communicate it to others.
10. Who is Jesus? (John 20:28, Heb 1:8)
11. What is His function? (1 Tim 2:5, Heb 4:14-16;
7:25)
12. How is He qualified to perform this function?
(1 Tim 2:5-6, Heb 9:12, 28)
13. How do we request Jesus' help? (Acts 7:59, John14:13-14)
14. Do we require the assistance of anyone else?
(1 Tim 2:5, Heb 4:14-16)
15. How effective is Jesus' service to us? (1 John
1:9, Heb 7:25; 8:12; 9:12)
16. What is required of us? (Acts 16:31, 1 John
1:9, James 2:17-18, 26)
17. If we fulfill our duty, what will be the outcome?
(Rom 8:35-39, 1 Cor 15:51-57, Rev 3:5)
